Walk into Penyrheol Comprehensive School in Gorseinon, near Swansea, and the first thing you’ll see is a giant picture of Leigh Halfpenny playing in his first Rugby Union international. Go out the back and you’ll find, on a giant terrace cut into a slope, the two pitches on which the Welsh back – a former pupil – learned to run, tackle and kick. But not for much longer, if local councillors have their way.
