Updated: Letter to parents from the Local Authority 5-1-21

Dear Parent/Carer,

Please find attached an updated letter from the Local Authority following last night’s announcement by the Welsh Government that all schools, colleges and independent schools will move to online learning until January 18th. The position on childcare remains unchanged and schools will look to provide a service to our most vulnerable children and those key workers that have no other option available to them from 6th January onwards. This provision should only be accessed as a last resort and wherever possible pupils should remain home. Parents wishing to access this on-site support for their child(ren) for 6th-8th January must let us know by return email/text by the end of school today. If you wish to access this provision for the week beginning 11th January, could you please email back or ring the school on 01792 533066 between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday this week.

All schools will provide remote learning from Wednesday 6th January. Please ensure that your children access this learning on Google Classroom via Hwb. We will providing the full curriculum following pupils’ normal timetables. This week is a Week 1 and next week is a Week 2.

Additional payments or food parcels will be provided for learners entitled to free school meals during the period of home learning.

Regards,

Alan Tootill
Headteacher
