Estyn Inspection Report January 2008

Penyrheol Comprehensive School was inspected in November 2007.

In summary, the report concluded that:

“Penyrheol Comprehensive School is a good school in which pupils’ performance is above the local and national averages. Pupils’ attainment also compares favourable with performance in similar schools in Wales. The school has continued to improve the standards that its pupils achieve and the quality of education it provides. The progress that it has made in recovering from the major fire of March 2006 is remarkable. This is largely due to very effective leadership and management.
