Hywel Dda Health Board in Llanelli are looking for Health and Social Care apprentices. This is open to this year’s school leavers. Successful applicants can progress from the apprenticeship to become fully qualified nurses. For more information see the link below –

Careers event

There is a Careers Event taking place at the Waterfront Museum and LC2 in Swansea on Thursday 20th June.
Year 10 and 11 pupils and their parents/guardians/carers are invited to attend after school as it will be open between 3.15pm-6pm.
You will have the opportunity to speak to some of Wales biggest employers, educational institutions and training providers.

Tata Steel Apprenticeships – Trostre and Port Talbot

Tata Steel are recruiting for the following positions:

  • Mechanical Engineering – Trostre and Port Talbot
  • Electrical Engineering – Trostre and Port Talbot
  • Technical (Laboratory) – Port Talbot

You must have achieved or expect to achieve 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above, to include Maths, English Language and Science.

For the Mechanical and Electrical Apprenticeships you will spend the first year in college (unpaid), and start your 3 year apprenticeship the following year with a starting salary of £12,700.
The Laboratory Apprenticeship involves starting your 3 year apprenticeship in September with a starting pay of £11,600.
